For a custom 360° LED tube project, a product image and an approximate length are not enough for a reliable quotation. The project team should first confirm the geometry, installation route, desired light effect and the information that affects power and support planning.
This checklist is for lighting designers, contractors, distributors and project buyers developing a custom pendant, ceiling feature, wall line or sculptural lighting installation.
Start with the drawing, not the product name
Send KLM a dimensioned CAD drawing whenever possible. A rendering or reference image is useful alongside it because it shows the intended visual effect, but the drawing is what lets the team review whether the shape, dimensions and installation approach are feasible.
- Overall dimensions, curve geometry and segment lengths
- Reflected ceiling plan, mounting height and fixing locations
- Suspension concept, wall fixing or other support route
- Preferred tube diameter and visible finish, if already selected
- Quantity, destination and target installation date
Describe the light effect the space needs
State whether the installation needs a single-colour decorative line, a specific CCT, or a colour-changing concept. Do not assume that a configuration used in a previous project will be appropriate for a new drawing.

Confirm the installation and power plan early
For a 24V custom LED tube, the power plan must be reviewed against the actual configuration. KLM needs to check the selected tube version, each segment length, proposed feed points, cable route, driver location, joints and control components before the quotation becomes a production specification.
- Show where the fixture will be supported and where cables can enter.
- Identify driver and controller locations, with access after installation.
- Mark proposed joints and consider their appearance from normal viewing positions.
- State the required dimming or colour-control system; compatibility is confirmed for the final configuration.
Choose the right 360° tube family for the project
KLM has both 360° LED acrylic tube options and a 360° silicone LED tube with aluminium profile for custom forms. The aluminium profile provides structure and an installation route; the final appearance and configuration should be reviewed from the drawing.
For the silicone-with-aluminium-profile family, the first-generation configuration can support RGB/RGBW projects with planned segments and joints. The second-generation configuration is intended for single-colour projects and can be made up to 30m without intermediate joins, subject to drawing and power review. Confirm the selected configuration before quotation.

Can a 360° LED tube be made into a curved or custom shape?
Many custom forms are possible, but feasibility depends on the selected construction, dimensions, curve geometry, support plan and electrical layout. Send the drawing for review rather than relying on a reference image alone.
How long can a 24V LED tube run from one power feed?
There is no universal answer. It must be confirmed from the final tube version, load, segment lengths, cable route, feed points and driver/control package.
What should a contractor provide before asking for a quotation?
Provide CAD, dimensions, installation context, intended light effect, quantity, destination and target timing. A render alongside the drawing makes the desired visual result easier to review.
